Here's my chick-invention, my mobile chicken coop/tractor:


The mini-van has a coop in the back, and it's attached to the tractor to move it every day (well not attached at the moment but that's another story)

I didn't exactly invent the idea, but thought my "poop slide" might be a good addition to your chickenvention thread...plus it will pop it back to the top of the thread list so perhaps others will add cool ideas:



When the chickens are on the roost at night, any poop they produce slides down the corrigated plastic sheet into the Rubermaid lid, which is easily removed and dumped into the compost bin. So far, it has worked really well, probably collecting 90% of everything the produce while in the coop at night and keeping the rest of the shavings relatively clean.

Questions:
Does the poop not stick to the slide at all?
How do you clean it if it does?
Where can I find this kind of material?
How much space is between the roosts and the slide for chicken tail-room?
