Excited to have just finished my chicken water supply line with the help of two of my mates. They don't quite have the hang of it yet though.

Nice! I have a similar idea that I plan to use this spring. I have a waterer that I made of 2" pipe with 4 nipples and a 8ft. stack. It has worked pretty good so far for the amount of chickens I have, but I want a constant supply ready for when I add to the flock.

It was a fun project. Keeps the water clean is the important thing. So make sure you use a float system or water pressure regulator. I originally was pumping 60PSI from outside line to 1/2 pex to 2" pvc and was too much pressure to sustain, when the nipple got pressed down it shot water out :D so i had to slow the flow down. Work in IT by trade, so this was an experience. haha. Good luck, be sure to tag me so I can see your product.

My plan is very similar to your's. I want to attach it to the top of the stack though (not sure how yet). I'm thinking about using a flush valve without the flapper, and mount it right on top of the stack and cut a few feet off the of the stack. Still kinda up in the air. I am a plumber by trade, so I am looking forward to the challenge lol

I saw saw really good reviews on mini float too. This method is really cheap and heard good reviews on it. https://www.amazon.com/Kerick-Valve...TF8&qid=1516499934&sr=8-5&keywords=mini+float
