Okay, so my red star chicken is about 4-5 months old, keeps closing one eyelid (the right one) and it waters. Why is her eye watering?

No, just water. I have been looking it up and they all say it's a eye worm or a virus? But it's not saying what the treatment is.

Alright, thanks.

Is there any sneezing or head shaking going on also? One of ours started like this with Coryza. Don't mean to scare you, here's an article I personally found very helpful: http://www.shagbarkbantams.com/page22.htm

Just
thought I'd mention it not to be too late to treat it if it IS this one. Hope it's something minor though.

Gentocin eye ointment, if its just an infection this will work well. She might have poked herself in the eye and gotten a little ulcer. If that doesn't work, I guess you should treat her for eye worm. But, eyeworm is so much less likely than a poke in the eye and eye worm usually causes thick, white discharge.

Update:
Day 2 of the infection and if you look at each eye, you can obviously tell that the infected one is swollen compared to the good one. It seems she is really annoyed about it.

She has been shaking her head and backing up out of annoyance. Thanks for the article, I will look into it.
