That's what I've been doing, blocking the nest at night, but shes right in there first thing in the morning, I'm going to try the crate , it will fit in the enclosed run, but I dont think it will fit in the coop.I don't have a cage so I just block off the nests at night and make sure they're on the roost when it starts to get dark. Takes about a week or less. Has worked every time so far.

I been closing the nest up at night, but she goes right back in as soon as I open them up in the morning,Mine do the same. I let them sit during the day, but not at night. The 12 or more hours per day off the nest disrupts their routine enough so that they're over it in about a week, sometimes sooner.
