Chicken Wings

she is 6 months old - barred rock - she has been ill for a week now.....we gave her deworming and her poop is green/black with white....looks normal.
Does she lay eggs?
If so when did she last lay one?
I wouldn't bother with layers feed. An all flock with oyster shell on the side is fine.
Do you know how to check for egg binding? It is possible she may be egg bound.
Contrary to some advice, egg bound hens can still poop depending on where the egg is stuck, if it is.
You need to oil a finger and insert it gently into the hens vent. This is better done with spotlessly clean bare hands. You can insert your finger up to the second knuckle and you should be able to feel the end of the egg.
If she doesn't free range, or have access to green vegetation in her diet then the green poop is concerning. Some pictures of hen and poop would be a great help.

Our one chickens wings are hanging down and she seems to be weak in the legs. Is eating and drinking. Any idea what is wrong with her.

6months old barred rock- poop looks ok and is on chick starter
Hi @Freddy and mrs brown :frow Welcome To BYC

I'm sorry to hear about your pullet.
Can you please post some photos of her and her poop?
A video of walking/moving may also be helpful - upload your video to youtube and provide us a link.

At 6 months of age, has she started laying eggs yet? If so, when was her last egg?
She has been "sick" for a week - do you mean that she has had trouble walking and her wings have been drooping for a week or has she had other symptoms?

What did you deworm her with? Product and dosage please.

Chick starter is fine to give, just provide oyster shell free choice.
It's hard to know what's going on with her, the symptoms you describe she may have Marek's disease. But I would check to make sure she has no swelling of the legs/joints feet, injury. Feel the abdomen for any bloat/swelling or fluid and inside the vent for an egg.

Look forward to more information and your photos.
