chicken with a cough

Hi All, I noticed my chicken coughing and open mouth breathing about a week ago. I separated her from the flock and have been using vetrx on her head, in her water and under her wings for about four days but her cough and breathing hasn't gotten much better. Any other suggestions? Thankfully the rest of my flock hasn't shown any similar symptoms. I really appreciate any input!

I should also mention that she isn't lethargic and is eating and drinking like normal

I hope this will help. Also she could just have a cough, or a chicken cold... Is ta chicken cold even a thing?

Are you seeing any watery/bubbly eyes, nasal drainage, head shaking, wheezing, or rattly breathing? Any swelling around an eye or the face? There are a handful of respiratory diseases, some caused by viruses, some bacterial or mycoplasmal, and fungal diseases such as aspergillosis. If you check at your feed store, you may be able to get Tylan 50 injectable, an antibiotic that treats symptoms of MG (mycoplasma) and coryza. Dosage is 0.2 ml twice a day for 5 days. A 5 pound chicken would get 1 ml. Give it orally or by injection. A vet could prescribe other antibiotics, but make sure that she is eating and especially drinking plenty of water.

The only thing I have noticed is open mouth breathing, a bit of head shaking and a cough. No watery eyes, nasal drainage, wheezing or rattly breathing to note.
