Chicken with a limp

Hello
I have a buff who all of a sudden developed a limp. I didn't see any lacerations on her leg only a little bruising. I separated her from the others so she could rest. Is there anything else I should be doing or looking for. I'm new to chickens so all feedback is welcome. Does anybody use essential oils on their chickens?

Make sure you also check the buff's foot and toes. If she is just limping, I would watch. Make sure she eats and drinks. Unless others are pecking her, probably don't have to separate. Had a leg/toe injury on one of my BR this summer. She could only limp show distances and then sit. We made sure she got to the water fount and food. None gave her injury notice. I thought we would have to make arrangements for bedding, didn't think she could make it up her ramp. But she did and even got on the roost. Daily she improved and by 3-4 days was back to normal.

Just keep a close watch and make sure foot is ok.
