Chicken with bad infection on mouth/face (was Vitamin B complex injectable dosage for chicken)

NO.
I was just asking if you had meant .08 or .8ml when you posted that.
Give her .25 -.3 ml....is what I would guess with the product you ordered.
(I'd really like to figure out how much B12 that would actually be in the dose though)
I am thinking it is not very much at all.

A straight B12 vitamin would probably be a better idea, imo.
the thing is, i ordered it because that injectable has both vitains she's deficienct in? I am not even sure anymore. At this point i pray that these vitamins will crank up her appetite to other foods. So she can eat the awesome high quality complee feed i have for her :(

Do you really think injecting vitamins is going to make a difference?
I mean you have already tried just about everything else and nothing has helped right?

I am just wondering...not criticizing.
Could you possible used to many antibiotics already?

I was on my phone all day.
I'm just getting to the computer.
I am going to go back and eat from the beginning again now.

I think I may have missed some of your posts.

She doesn't have those scabs anywhere else. Just in her face. It started with one side at the beak. I thought it was canker. I have treated her for that and it didn't go away. It has since spread onto the other side of the face. One eye developed a big pus filled scab that never healed even with antibiotics from the vet. It eventually was too heavy for the bottom eye lid to support (the scab was quite heavy because of the pus) it eventually dried half way and fell off. It seems to be eating at the skin.
Did you ever get all this pus out?
Before you tried antibiotics?
If you do not get the pus all the way out the antibiotics are not going to work.

I take criticism well. Don't worry about it. lol
The antibiotics haven't been overdone. So says the vet. As far as the vitamins... yeah, i think they will make a difference. For months i have been giving her high quality pellets and scratch grains mixed, only to find out that she only picked the scratch grains out. She wouldn't drink the vitamin water for two days. So i had to change it to plain non vitamin treated water and she would gorge herself. I have been trying to do everything systematically. I have been trying to rule things out. At this point i may very well go to vet school and get it over with. Because i gained so much knowledge over the course of 10 months, i may as well become a damn vet and help ducks and chickens were all the other vets suck! *i apologize to any vets in advance

There was pus at some point. Not sure if that was pus at the soft tissue or just softened whiter tissue from the scabs being half way attached and were getting wet from her eye tearing up. I irrigated it with gentian violet and peroxide. Vertericyn VF hasn't helped, nor did Neosporin ointment on and in the eye. Peroxide was the ONLY thing that worked when one of her scabs gone pus rogue next to her comb and nothing would stop it from festering. So i hope it helps with this one as well. She was not able to see her water the scab was obstructing her view and she seemed confused.
What is gentian violet?
I think peroxide does more damage than it does help.

I do not think you should be taking the scabs off.
I am not a fan of scratch, so I'd like to tell you to stop buying it, period. But do as you wish. :lau
