We have a chicken that has been pecked, at first it seemed as though the other chickens were picking on her. We separated the bully for a day or so and that seemed to help. It's been pretty cold and icy in Colorado. Unfortunately, her issue has gotten worse. I've been treating it with an antimicrobial spray and using the anti pecking ointment. Wondering if anyone has dealt with this and what helped the situation? Or if anyone had some recommendations.

I really appreciate any suggestions!

The bully is back at it?
What kind of anti pecking goop did you try?
It's called pick no more cover up lotion. Smells awful, but seemed to work for a minute. We o my have a flock of 7 chickens and temps have been in the single digits. I've been considering secluding her in our basement (no garage) for a few days but I'm worried separating her would do more harm than good.

Can you separate her inside the coop in a wire dog crate with food and water? That way she won’t lose her place in the flock pecking order. I would use Vetericyn or other brand of hydrogel spray twice a day. Once it heals more, try BluKote on her bare spot. I have had food luck with that.

I'll have to see if I can find something to separate her inside the coop. We have an option in the run but inside it's a bit tougher.

I'll have to try those, can you find them on Amazon? Small Town, not many options for shopping locally I'm afraid.
