My chicken Olivia has blackhead disease. I don’t know what to do. Please help me
Photos of the poop may help.View attachment 3293780
This is her. She has a fluid filled crop. I already lost a turkey to this and another chicken has symptoms now too. They have yellow poop
Yes I’m certain. Both crops are still fluid filledPhotos of the poop may help.
Are you certain she has Blackhead disease?
A fluid filled crop, check that again first thing in the morning before she's had anything to eat/drink (no food water overnight). If the crop is still fluid filled in the morning, then address the crop.

Then treat the crop symptoms.Yes I’m certain. Both crops are still fluid filled
You will need an exact weight to medicate them properly. They both weighed in at 3-4 pounds last time I weighed them for medicine
Enrofloxacin:Where can I get that?
Thanks! I’ll weigh them exactly. One if the two looks much better today! More lively and crop is not fluid filled. That’s the one that was acting worse. She had fluid pouring out of her mouth at one point. Her droppings aren’t yellow anymore. I think the ivermectin and apple cider vinegar workedYou will need an exact weight to medicate them properly.
The metronidazole dose is 23 mg per pound orally once a day for 5 days. Metronidazole is dangerous in doses higher than that, so be careful.
Enrofloxacin is also needed to treat the E. coli infection that they get with blackhead. It's not actually the blackhead that kills them, it's the secondary E. coli infection that does. Give 0.07 ml per pound orally twice a day for 3-5 days.
Fenbendazole will treat the cecal worm. Give 0.23 ml per pound orally once and repeat in 10-14 days
