chicken with broken beak wont eat or drink

Hes started eating seeds on her own but wont eat anything else. ive tried everything and im at the point when im having to spend hours shoving little dough balls down his throat. hes a lot weaker now and less energetic is there anything i can do to get him to eat. maybe a liquid formula i can try so im not having to pry his beak open.

You could try syringe feeding. But this is a last resort as it can be dangerous

Do you mean regular pellet or crumble feed wetted to a soupy consistency?

ive tried makimg soupey syringe feed but i cant get it to come out of thw syringe it just gets clogged and i cant keep his mouth open long enough to empty the whole thing without it going down the wrong pipe and him sneezing. what has worked so far is me just prying his mouth open quick and shoving food down.

i was uding crumble laying feed and mixing it up

i dont have a tube syringe and im not confodent in shoving a tube down his throat.

using the method i have now how often and how much should i feed. i make a kind of soupey mash and mix it with flower to make little balls then i wet it with either water or olive oil.

no i think its painful he broke the tip of his beak. hell pick up seeds very gently and eat that but other than that im having to force feed him

I had a BO break off the top part of the tip of her beak. Gave her soupy mash and left her alone. Didn't put anything on the beak at all. I wouldn't force feed her either. Birds are very resilient and heal very fast.

Tube feeding is tricky. I am not sure if it is @aart or @Eggcessive who has the pic showing tube feeding. If you poke it down the wrong part of the throat, you can kill them.
