Chicken With Huge, Mole-Like Growth On Her Cheek

We have a Silver-Laced Wyandotte that is about 2 or 3 years old, who seems to be fine and healthy except for a large, mole-like lump on her cheek. The best description that can be given is that it looks like chicken feces on her face, but it is definitely something growing out of her skin below her eye. We just noticed it about a week ago, and she is the only bird that has it. There is no bleeding or any other strange behavior. We do not know what caused it to appear. The bird has been eating and drinking normally. Her waste looks fine, to our knowledge. We have not administered any physical treatment so far, as we did not know what to do. We would like to be able to treat the bird ourselves, as she is not in critical condition. All of our chickens nest on straw and roost on a ladder in the barn.
Here is a picture of the hen:
My bantam roo has this on his right cheek. I have a Vet appointment on Dec. 7, 2021 so I hope there are answers from a culture.
