A dog attacked my Chicken and by the time I got outside she was in poor condition, she is unable to walk on her right leg. It doesn't appear broken so I believe to be a muscle injury

Hi @ChristianJames How is your hen today?

I'm sorry to hear she was attacked. Inspect her carefully for any wounds underneath all of her feathers. Dogs squeeze, so there's a possibility of internal injuries as well.

Let injuries can be a bit tricky, so let's hope she has a sprain and is immobile because of shock. See that she is drinking well.

Keep us posted.

Sorry that we didn't see your thread until a day later. How is your hen today? I would place her in a dog crate with food and water so that she will be forced to rest the leg for a week or two, and go from there. Chicken slings for several hours at a time are a good way to get them upright within reach of food, and to keep them cleaner, then let them out to sleep overnight. A 1/2 vitamin B Complex tablet crushed in her food daily may be helpful. Give us an update on her condition soon. Pics of some slings are below:

Thanks for the help, she is walking and running but has a bit of limp but it is getting better, the rest of my flock was extremely protective of her while she was injured.
