I have a chicken that I noticed was off by herself in the corner of the coop. I picked her up and noticed one of her eyes looks kind of milky. I don't know if this is an infection, injury, or possible parasite. I've included a picture and would greatly appreciate any advice on what it could possibly be and what to do to help her? Thank you!!!! chicken eye.jpg

I'm not really sure, but after reading it sounds very possible :( I zoomed in and here is a closer shot of it. Don't know if this helps or not.

So I went and checked on her today and her eye was swollen shut. No nasal drainage or anything, but I had a hen do this before and she ended up dying. First thing I noticed on her was her eye was swollen shut and she had nasal drainage and about a day later she passed. Is there any antibiotics that I could use to match these symptoms? I would really hate to lose another hen. Please help!!

If you're not seeing other signs of illness I would start with Terramycin ointment in her eye.

She also looks a little feather picked and ragged; have you checked her over good for lice and mites?
