Once again, he seems to be in good spirits. He's enjoying his egg as some others keep a close eye, waiting patiently for their snack. I'm so glad my 2 dogs and 4 house cats accept him being inside and he's not at all intimidated by them!

Lol. Yea, the dog was waiting for him to fling a piece her direction, then she'd look at me to see if it was okay for her to eat it. She was really good about it! When he was finished, I split what was left between my 2 dogs. They were happy. They never get people food so it was a big treat for them!

This morning I took him out again for about an hour. He loves to be held and cuddled. He literally rested his head on me and took a nap.. So cute!

I can't wait for a warm(er) day so I can take him for a walk out to the barn. He doesn't seem to miss it but I'm sure he'd like to see his blue cochin bantam buddies and his little silkie girlfriend.

Fred is looking good! He has a clean up crew if he eats messily, or tosses them some.

Looks like they are going to have an amusing relationship that will be entertaining to watch as they all get used to each other. You HAVE to keep us posted on Fred LiChi!

All of my animals are definitely entertaining, I don't expect Fred to be any different. Never a dull moment..

Update.. Fred got a nice bath today. He actually fell asleep while I was reapplying his bandages! His stumps look good, he's eating and drinking well and he's taking his medicine like a champ! Things are looking pretty good.

I have to say this made me cry, how wonderful to give lil Fred a chance, Very special thread.. Happy to hear how well he is doing.

Update.. Fred is doing much better with his balance. He actually took his first forward steps tonight. It was very exciting! We've been doing short sessions of physical therapy where I've tried to get him to walk forward to get treats.. He always stretched his neck out but never took a step. Tonight, he was on the floor eating so I sat in the recliner and watched. When he was done eating, he slowly walked toward me.. He wanted me to pick him up. I love seeing him get better and progress!! ((Proud chicken Mama!))
