I just noticed that one of my RIR's eyes was a lot darker than the other, like this dark brown color. Is it possible that she has a disease or she is blind in that eye? Help! Pictures will be posted ASAP.

UPDATE: The eye is actually red. Does that mean she's blind in that eye? Her iris (or whatever the black spot is called) is still visible.

My mom says that we will just wait a few days for it to clear up.

Is the red around the white of the eye, around the eye, or in the pupil? Whenever I have seen a red pupil, one of my dogs has had a hemorrhage in the back of the eye. Is the eyelid swollen? Any eye drainage or gunk in the eye?

No, just the white. My mom thinks it might be from blunt force trauma or a bleeding vessel in the eye. She says it's nothing to worry about but I'm still a bit concerned.

She also tells me it's happened to her before when I once accidentally kicked her in the eye:duc:hit so I'm not too worried. Can blunt force trauma cause bleeding in the blood vessels?

Oh, sorry- no visible discharge, no swollen eyelid. Her eye is just a bit watery - I think it could be that something got into her eye?
