Just this afternoon I checked on my girls and one of them sounds very strange! Her voice is hoarse and a little raspy. She looks good otherwise, no discharge and I saw her eat/drink etc. Is she ok? It’s been very snowy today so I only watched them from the house this morning and just popped out to hang out with them in later afternoon around4pm and I noticed right away. I don’t recall her sounding strange last night when I got home, I spent a little time with them before they went to bed around 5pm. Any suggestions? I looked across the forum but only see a few unsolved posts.

She is 3.5 years old.
Voice recording can’t be attached :(

For video, upload to Youtube and provide a link or you can upload to the BYC Gallery, just let us know where to find it. https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/how-to-upload-videos-to-the-gallery.1631126/

It's hard to know what's going on with her, hearing it may be helpful. She may have Stridor which is when food, mucous or debris gets into the airway and causes a wheezing/whistling sound. This usually resolves on it's own over the course of a day.

Do take note of any other symptoms like mucous, lesions or canker inside the beak, a crop that is not emptying, bubbles or pus in the eyes - these would indicate something else is going on.
