Chicken with shell shocked looking eyes

just today one of my chickens started looking very distressed like it saw one of its friends get taken away by a hawk is this normal? or should I take her to the vet. (All help is appreciated!)

(UPDATE! She was just being broody!) thank you for your help everyone) :D

Did you see if anything happened to her from the hawk? Did you see the hawk? She could be in shock, so you could offer some electrolytes or water with sugar 1 tsp per cup up to her beak, and dip her beak into it. Stand her up and see if she is having an issue walking or balancing. Maybe she was hit or bumped, or got injured. I’m sure she is frightened. Sorry for your loss.
 
What is she doing? Is she just hanging out in a nest? She could be broody. If she stays in the nest two days and nights, she is broody. She wants to hatch eggs. Let us know if that's what she does. Broody hens do get a very "inward" concrntrated look to them.

Good to know that she has nothing wrong. You can break them inside a wire dog crate with no bedding for 3-5 days, if you don’t want chicks. If you do though, collect eggs until you get the number you want to hatch and put them all under her at once writing the date on each one. That way you will know when they should hatch.
