Chicken with sprained knee or out of joint?

I have a 2 month old orphington that was stepped on by my dog a week ago. She had a wound on her back that was treated and is healing nicely.. She is still favoring her left leg. It is tender to the touch and she will only put a little weight on in for a short while. Is there any way to tell if the joint is out? or is it just going to take a while?

Thanks for the site. I learned a few things, but not the same as what is going on with my bird. She can get around but her left leg doesn't have much strength and it trails behind the right leg.
