There is a large bump on my rooster's leg. It is obviously causing him pain as he limps as he walks. The bump has a small cut on it that bled a tiny bit, but I believe that was caused by the others pecking at the injury, so I've already separated him from the flock. Is there anything else I can do to help him?

clean the wound with warm water, dry thoroughly, liberally apply Neosporin and bandage the leg.
If doing that has no effect, he will need to be on an antibiotic.
