Chicken with "twisted" leg

It could be a vitamin deficiency .... Riboflavin deficiency - Poly Visol without iron, Vitamin B Complex, Nutri Drench, foods rich in riboflavin (eggs, ground raw almond, beef liver, fortified cereals, etc ) Tape the toes flat & use a sling to help it stay upright, exercising the leg to strengthen.

It's still hard to tell, but with your description, it sounds like your chick has a leg bone deformity if the leg is twisted. Twisted Tibia or Valgus Varus possibly? Take a look at the photos in the following link https://www.merckvetmanual.com/poul.../noninfectious-skeletal-disorders-in-broilers

Sadly, leg deformities cannot be corrected and usually become worse as the chicken grows. They may also have other deformities internally that don't show up until they mature enough to begin to lay - if they make it that far.

Haven't tried vitamins! But I have tried the stuff with the legs. Everytime I use masking tape or even duct tape to flatten her toes she somehow gets them like before so I gave up, and yes I know she's adorable.

Her leg doesn't bend outward? From what I read and saw that's what it all seemed to be was an outward leg..
But I do understand, I find that possible and possibly the correct answer here..

If you could think of how we see the pictures. Take a look at what you sent to us. We really want to help but without close ups I mean really close up and from different sides and angles it’s going to be so hard for us to tell. Do you have someone to help you? One person to hold the bird and stretch out the leg while the other person takes the pictures? I know it’s hard. I know you’re worried. But you need to help us help her. Are you willing to apply a splint if needed? Would you be comfortable wrapping the leg after it’s straightened? Many times vitamins can help. Sometimes it’s from a injury. Right now we need to figure out which it is. Do you think you could do that?

Aww! Poor baby. I’d say a leg or bone deformity. I’ve never experienced that kind of madness but have dealt with a (sadly he passed on while I was at my parents house) splay-leg chicken named Splay. I have dealt with a broken leg (Wobbles), double pecked eyes (Penny’s unnamed hatchling), crooked/scissor beak, and even a missing eye + scissor beak (Wobbles, again.). Let’s hope that this is just a small leg deformity and if it ever gets worse, you got 2 options.

I don't think it'll be getting worse. She's under a 24 hour watch and with a little friend to supervise her too. I've noticed she's kept growing and it's been weeks, she's not normal size but she's getting their. I hope she'll be okay, the only time the leg seems to hurt is if you stretch it out.

But can she move to food/water on her own?
When she's feather out and it's time to put her outside, will she be able to go outside, get to food/water, dust bath, preen, etc. - things that chickens do?

She hops around even though she stumbles she gets to it on her own. She keeps a full crawl.

But she won't be going outside. I mean, for just playing yes but she'll have to stay inside with her leg. Our big hens would immediately kill her and I don't think she could do it on her own..

I take her and bongo out daily, and I'll sit their with them. Bongo doesn't really do much besides sit next to button and sunbathe while button parties in the grass. Other then that, I'm sure she's fine with just a small bit of help.
