My hen roosted out side last night and she somehow pooped in her feeder, so when I went to wash the feeder out, I noticed these cream colored skinny long worms in the poop. It was definitely worms and they were pretty long and there was about 8-10 worms in one thing of poop. Also she hasn't layed eggs in two weeks. Could this be a cause of worms and what can I give her to clean out all the worms?

Yes, worms will cause your hens to stop laying. A lot of people use valbazen or ivermectin with great results. Good luck!

Wasn't going to mention it unless you asked. I personally use Diatomaceous Earth and it has worked great for me. I put one heaping spoonful in a little chicken fountain bottle daily and the worms clear right up, no side effects no egg withdrawls. However others say that it does not worm so it is really your choice. Like I said though, no side effects! I love the stuff. And yes I would worm your other chickens to.

Likely they are roundworms. Ivermectin takes at least 3 weeks for withdrawal. I wouldn't use it. Valbazen kills many worms and has a withdrawal of a week versus 3 weeks for Ivermectin. If you have never wormed before, you may want to begin with Wazine to prevent blockage by many worms which may be in the intestines. You can worm again 10 days later with Valbazen oral suspension. Valbazen is .25 cc for a 4 lb. bird or .5 cc for a 7 lb. bird. Follow up after each worming with a couple days of Probios dispersible powder and vitamins-electrolytes in the water.

Ok I will try either valbazen or waxine. What do you mean by blockage and how can I stop that?
