Chicken wound possibly infected?

I have a 10 month old jersey giant hen who started losing feathers a couple weeks ago. I thought it was just a random molting. 2 days ago she came out of the coop in the morning and was bleeding awfully from being pecked, mostly a huge wound right above the vent. There's a few other places that were pecked but this is the worst one. She was also ingesting feathers that fell out so I read that might be a protein deficiency. I've been spraying Vetericyn on the wounds a few times a day. I took a photo of the bad wound and I was worried it might be infected and she might need antibiotics. She is inside the house with us now trying to heal.

The green is from bruising. It doesn’t look infected to me. How does it smell? You should see pus and it would have a bad odor if it was infected. But being around the vent, there is a possibility of that happening. If you could get some chlorhexidene or Hibiclens from your pharmacy or first aid aisle, you could use that to wash the wound with a little water and then rinse it off. Or you could soak her in some warm water with soap, Hibiclens, Betadine, or Epsom salts for 15 minutes and then reapply your Vetericyn or some plain Neosporin ointment. I would only do that if you still worry about infection. The Vetericyn and Neosporin should be enough afterward. Keep her separated inna dog crate with food and water, and if possible keep her with her flock.

You could increase the protein in the diet by using flock raiser feed, or adding some higher protein meat bird feed to your usual feed. Cut out any scratch grains or other extras wiphich can dilute the protein in the diet. Also look at possible overcrowding as a possible cause. Do they get outside to free range every day?

Thank you for the info. I'm glad it doesn't look infected. The coop is definitely overcrowded. There's 23 chickens in a 4x8. I was planning to build something larger when this winter is over. Their current run is 10x20. I had to bring her in the house with me to heal because there's no extra room in the coop for a crate to keep her separated in.
