Hello everyone I'm building a chicken waterer with a five gallon bucket connected to 2 inch PVC by three quarters inch pipe the 2 inch has chicken watering nipples in it . I had trouble screwing them in and I hammer them in a little bit to get it to start screwing in . At first is leaked a little so I put some pipe glue on them. I don't think it leaks anymore.do any of you have any suggestions on how to make it Easter next time . Thanks.

Pre drill the hole just a micro bit smaller than the threads on the water nipples. Use sylicone glue at base (outside) of the water nipples to prevent leaks.

I followed her instruction* and it works flawlessly. It's been up for months now.

*I did buy some pvc fittings instead of drilling into the pipe and fiddling to avoid leaks.

Horizontal nipples have the unique tapered thread. Just drill a hole no larger than 3/8 inch hand tighten and they self seal. No silicon or glue needed.
