Guess what?
The store we usually buy chickies from isn't selling chicks this year, so now we visited TSC and looked at their chicks. They had some straight run Black Asians, Red Rangers, and Hampshire Reds. For pullets they had Black Sex Links.
The straight run bin was so crammed that there were 2-3 dead chicks trampled into the sawdust![]()
Guess what they also had? Silkies!!! they were straight run tho.... and we didn't get any chicks... not sure if we will or not yet![]()
I live where it is always rainy and no matter how many times I try to reseed my chicken run they eat all the seeds. If i try to let them out of the run so they won't eat the seeds, one of them gets eaten.I don't have any bantams, only the big ones, I am afraid that they would get smashed be a big rooster.
Doing great! My Mallards keep flying out of the enclosure.....I can't seem to contain them after we let their flight feathers grow in. Oh, wait, I forgot that this was a thread dedicated to chickens!![]()
