ChickenGuard Dogs...let's see em

Thanks! He still has that puppy face with a HUGE stop (we call him dolphin head!) LOL He's too spoiled, though. To the point he nips at people, does not mind and attacked one of my cats in September. It would be different if he was our dog...but alas, he's not. Sighs.

I am getting a new guard doggie....

I am picking him up this evening. 13 weeks old...black and gorgeous baby...he has a little splash of white on his chest.

He is 1/2 Great Pyrenees and 1/2 Black Lab and he is adorable...unnamed yet. we will wait a couple of days and see what name fits.

I am a happy camper. Pics later for sure.

I wouldn't necessarily call her a Chicken Protector.. Maybe a Chicken Consumer... Or Chicken Chaser...

I reall don't know because I haven't been brave enough to put her in the position to come into contact with my chooks! She's about 5 months old. 100% German bloodline, 100% pure black German Shepherd.

Her name is Ari (short for Arianna). She's my pride and joy!

Ari is beautiful.

I love dogs....My DH will not put a fence across the front of our 5 achers because he knows I will bring home every dog I find......

This is Sunny (a female Golden) she loves chicken poop also. Most of the time she lays and watches the flock.....But that darn Rooster is just to much fun. She loves to play with him.... I do not think he loves her at all. She has never hurt him...She rolled him one day and came straight to me like she had done something very wrong.
She is a very sweet girl.

I think she gets the worst of the deal....A few hairs pulled out from time to time....

Freddie, lab/BC cross--acts more BC. will herd chickens back into the coop for me. He lives for his 'job' of helping me care for the birds

Shelby my 7yr doxie waits till the chickens get together then races in to separate them, has even hopped up at them as they flew away. Only to prance over to me, like she was just doing her job. Other than this, she leaves the birds alone

Pooh is 14 and last summer I said something I thought I would never say "Pooh quit chasing the chickens" First and only time she ever paid much attention to them. Luckily at 14 her spurts of speed are short

A few pics of the guardian dogs taking the winter off and enjoying life... Riley has no idea but he too will be a coyote chaser!
