Chickens and ducks

Looking for recommendations for water system with chickens and ducks. The ducks have a pool and pond which gets changed daily. Have separate waterers for the chickens but as ducks do, they find it and go to town. Some chickens don’t seem to use the pool as much as other when the ducks have emptied theirs. I haven’t thought of it till now, but has anyone made a raised platform about a foot or two tall and put the water on it to keep the ducks at bay?

I hang a 5 gallon bucket with water nipples for the chickens. The ducks will use the nipples for a drink, but can't make a mess with it. Plastic buckets are cheap, as are the nipples.

Yeah I was just looking at that. Probably going to go with horizontal nipples and try that with buckets. Thanks
