Chickens and early spring Garden preparations

I have just torn down & dismantled my large garden and will be planting some winter rye.

Early next spring I was thinking of letting the chickens have access to it and compote and tear it up ready for me to plant my garden again.

Does anyone else do this or have thoughts to share.

I've also thought to do this, but it would mean building a tractor of some type for us. We have so many projects lined up I don't really see it happening.

Unless I ask for electric poultry netting for Christmas~

Yes I was also sussing out the cost of electric nettings.
I've been reading some reviews and Premier was thought to be quite good and one of the better and as well as one of the more expensive ones.

MIght be on my Christmas list as well
