Chickens and Parasites

But if a chicken pooped out a roundworm that your chicken ate then a number of your chickens already have roundworms and need to be treated. Roundworms require more than one treatment to be completely eliminated.

We try as hard as possible to keep parasites and pests away. DE in coups, runs, places they take dirt bathes, even food. I’ve read that DE is ineffective to consume in chickens but it’s always worth a shot. When we see signs of parasite we give them the proper treatment. My chickens have never eaten a parasite directly, we’ll at least that i’ve seen. It was all just a question i was curious to know the answer to. Thank you guys !
