Hi! I was wondering if anyone else is raising turkeys with their chickens. We have two, a Tom and a hen named Christmas and Easter. They’re a lot of fun and their hilarious to watch. They live with our eight chickens. They have their own turkey roost while the chickens have their own coop. They all get along great. If you do have turkeys, do you feed them special feed or the same food as the chickens?

Like @R2elk I feed to the highest common denominator. When I have chicks with young poults, everyone gets turkey starter or grower. Once in the pasture they all get the same feed as well. The only time they get different feed is when they move into the winter housing (aka breed pens) at that time each breed and sex has a special mix for the first 30 days and then the boys move to the girls feed for the next 60 or so days, when they come out and back to pasture, everyone goes back to their normal feed.
We are glad you joined our flock.
