I would be too. I suspect mine were let out a while beck. I waited for dinner until they were secure that previous night. Fortunately the suspect didn't have the stones to kill the roo.

If it was a human, I guess a simple Craigslist search or Google silkies and your area to see if they are trying to sell. Idk. But I'm leaning a predator, mostly because I hate to think how awful humans can be.
