Chickens are scared of tarp. Won't leave coop.

Make sure the tarp is not flat, and won't collect water, then collapse. The chickens, leave the tarp on for a few days. They'll get over it. You can even go in the coop and gently shoo a few of them out, and the rest will eventually follow.

Also make sure it's really secured to the run...We had a wind storm here a few years ago and part of the tarp blew off..My Black Ameruacana had a heartattack and died on the spot...My tarp is very secure now....

This was quite funny to reas. But my Barred Rocks love the rain for some reason, whenever it's raining they walk outside and flap their wings, playing with each other. Thunder is something else, though!
