You'll have to bury your dear one about 4-6 feet deep so your predator, if it is in a canine, won't dig it back up. We have a fairly effective means of burying our little ones when they pass. I dig a hole deep enough to lay him/her to rest with a new fruit tree planted on top of them. I haven't had any "exhumations" but take note you can develop an orchard quite quickly in a hurry if you have a larger flock.
