Locked away our 3 chickens to go to bed and as we were bringing their food bowl in we noticed alot of blood. We went back to check on them and all 3 of their head things were bleeding, not as much as i thought there would be. Our pen is secure and nothing can really get into it. We are treating them and sorting it out tomorrow morning. Any ideas? Have they attacked eachother? i cant get an image as its pitch black.

When you get the chance, please post photos! Chickens do sometimes injure each others' combs. They are usually small, shallow injuries caused by pecking.

She seems alot better to last night, i still dont know what the cause is though.
Thanks for posting a photo! I think it looks like a minor pecking injury, sometimes chickens fight over the highest roost when they are going to bed. You might try watching them at bedtime if it happens again.
