I would definitely be putting a lawyer on that. Sound like a case of harrassement if I every heard one! Not sure what state you are in but here in GA if you are falsely accused of something more than 2 times the person making the calls gets charged. I would ask about the laws there too, so you know to protect yourself from this man that started it!
This is what irks me. CPS doesn't worry or get involved in near as many important cases as they need to, yet they feel the need to harrase innocent people where the children are not in any real danger! Have dealt with this personally as a child and then as an adult when false accusations were made against our family.
I would try to have a lawyer there with you the next time they return and I would also have that lawyer contact the county/state and make know that not only were they in the wrong, but that was harrasement and mistreatment of your family. They have time to deal with this when children are ACTUALLY being abused and killed elsewhere because they are over worked.
I adopted a little girl from foster care so I had to deal with DHS/CPS for a year and a half! It was not fun.
Good thing they did not see my 10 year old Aspie son's bedroom. His clothes NEVER stay in the basket

thats too crazy kids have been around chickens for 100 years it was how life use too be and they were ok hope it all works out for you

Yes we got his name and information. My friend isn't a close friend of mine but she's my brother's roommate and best friend so she'd help me in a minute just for him. She's planning on being here when they come to follow up.

The 2 cats are shiny and clean. We brush them all often to help with the shedding because of my allergies. The house doesn't smell like animals at all. I run an air purifier in my living room 24/7 and I keep a air freshener in my furnace filter to spread good smelling air around when it kicks on. He didn't even look at the cats or the dog. Didn't even mention them really.

I grew up on a farm and was exposed to alot worse than chicks in a rubbermaid box. We practically lived with animals and I am sure stepped in doo alot of times barefooted. Somehow we manage to grow up healthy and happy. I think some of this thing with kids getting sick from animals( for ex. petting zoos) is because they have never been around animals or exposed to the germs. I hope everything turns out well for you and I for one am glad you are giving your child the chance to see an animal grow to adulthood.
