Chickens doesn't like to stray from the coop

My Buckeye (Nannie) hates to go far from the coop. Every once and awhile she'll venture out a little bit and then run back. She likes the woods and will go out far in them. Is she just a cautious chicken? Thanks!

What does your set up look like? Chickens don't like wide open areas without cover. Also some prefer to stick to the coop area and others are more adventurous. I personally wouldn't let my chickens take off into the woods, that's where all the predators are and it's only a matter of time before your hen is discovered.
