Chickens dug up and ate week old rotten fish

My husband buried two large red fish in my garden. Today I realized the hens dug it up and ate what was left. I am not sure about how. Much meet was left on the bones or if they just ate the worms and what not that we're feeding on it under ground. Are my hens going to be ok? Are there eggs safe to eat???

My chickens love fish and fish cleanings. I don't see why there would be a problem with eating the eggs and your hens should be fine.
