Chickens dying with no explanation

I see a lot of meat spots in hens who are 3 and older. We once had a young hen who laid bloody eggs, and later stopped altogether. There are viruses, such as a mild case of infectious bronchitis that can affect egg formation, shells, and some bacteria that also can create problems in the ovary and cause egg yolk peritonitis. Without a necropsy, it is hard to know why chickens die. Some of us do our own to look at organs, the digestive tract, the egg tract, and some things that are easy enough to spot.
