Chickens dying

Do the corid drops, check the thermometer readings.

You said it was around 23 degrees, so I would try to get the temperature down in the coop, just in case they are too hot. With such a small coop, a 250 red bulb would over heat or even possibly burn them. Most of us wean the heat once the chickens feathers has all grown in around 6-7 weeks old. They can squeeze up close together to get warm. But you can try to do this gradually. It can be hard to know for sure what is going on to kill your chickens, but we are thinking that it is like coccidiosis or overheating.

Two thoughts:
If you’re desperately worried about warmth,
You can fashion a wool hen or cuddle box or whatever they’re called tomorrow morning.
And old blanket or worn out fleece jacket or pair of comfy pants you can part with will do, cut it into strips
It’s a fast diy project.

I urge you to wean them off those lamps in the next few days.
Start by opening a window to cool down the coop.
If they have access to the outside, they can handle the temps.
Or get or make as stated above, an alternative heat source for them to use “as needed” instead of overheating them.

Also even without bloody stools I’d aggressively treat for coccidiosis.

It will NOT hurt them if this is NOT the problem but sill save their lives if it IS.

*the corid solution needs to be mixed fresh EVERY 24 hrs.

No other drinking water option should be available to them.

Don’t put electrolytes or probiotics in with the corid.

Can you post a better close up pic of their coop? It looks awful small for that many birds unless they are babies. You may also need more ventilation, they may be suffering from their own poo fumes. Like everyone said, do the Corid for possible Coccidiosis, it's not gonna hurt them either way. Have you put a brand new heat lamp in that coop? I would quit using heat lamps. As feathered out as they are, if they get cold, they will huddle together.
Good luck!

It appears that the coup is 45 based on the thermometer I got. Wish us luck that they are alive in the am. The sick looking girls were up and visi

Thank you. I gave them all it orally tonight and will add to water starting tomorrow. I am contemplating starting the older girls too, just in case because the coup is so close? I am scared to death to remove the lamp they have never been outside without it. They have plenty of room to get away from it, it is pretty much there in case they need it. The older girls are only 2 months older and they have it as well. I do keep all of their windows and the front door open

Thanks. I did the corid orally tonight and will add to water starting tomorrow. The smaller coup said it was for 8 chickens we had 7 and now that 2 have died we have 5. We def thought it seemed small but they get to roam out inthe gate during the day and I keep all windows open. i also change the bedding the upper coup every other day. The older girls coup is large and there are 6 in there but they are bigger. Picture attached. this was before we added their fence around. We originally got the big coup so that we could combine them but because we lost one we never let them interact
