Chickens foot is swollen, chicken is limping

I noticed one of my hens limping so I caught her and found that her foot is swollen. Any ideas as to what the problem is? I didn’t see anything stuck in the foot or anything.

It is possible that she has either sprained it or broken her lower leg or foot. I would keep her penned in a wire dog crate or pen with food and water to force her to rest the foot. It can take several weeks for a sprain or broken bone to heal. Depending on if it is broken or not, here is a splinting idea:
