No way Jose LOL, I'd have to find one of me with a shirt on heheheheee. I was a sports Jock back then so my dresswear was pretty simple, T-shirt, jeans and hat, sneakers. The 70's now that's different LOL>

OMG rosewolf22002 ! I was soooo happy that I thought I could cook a turkey like this...and now you ask all these practical questions! OK qbal53...help us out here! I would have stuck a turkey in a pan & covered it with foil & turned the oven on! lol .I never would have thought about the size...or whether it was stuffed! On second thought, I do cook a really good ham...

LOL. If you want too many details I will have to have Diana put her $2 worth in here, you know you can't get anything for two cents anymore. Actually you can stuff it or not, I typically like stuffing made on top of the stove rather than in the bird. We always got the biggest bird we could find. Hi this is Diana, since this could take a bit of time, why don't you email me at [email protected]. Are you from the south or up north. That will tell me what type of stuffing recipe to give you and I'll give the a-z steps. It is really easy. If you don't care for stuffing just say so and we won't go there. Sorry to hear about your mother in law passing. I learned to cook turkey from my ex mother in law, she was a Virginia hillbilly. Most everything else from my grandmother. SHE could seriously cook and I've got the butt to prove it! Oh yeah how many people?

Bee,

I've done some fecal exams, and have never seen much of interest. I don't know what I was looking for, just looking. My chickens spend a lot of time under the bushes and in the woods line. I got them as 2 day old chicks on June 22 of this year. They seem to be foraging good considering they didn't have a teacher. They are very alert when free ranging (I started letting them at 3 weeks, supervised. Now, I just open the pop door when I leave for work and lock them in once they go to bed).

Anyway, when I culled the extra roos and the pulletts I wasn't happy with this past weekend, I looked in their gizzards. Couldn't tell what was in there, except grit. BOY was I surprised at how big their gizzards are!!

I'm not even sure why I posted this. I don't expect an answer, I can do research but when I was looking in the gizzards I was wondering just when do the nutrients get to the chicken. The lining in the gizzard was so, I don't know, tough, I couldn't see how anything could pass through.

Just wondering.

This was the early 50's not the 60's, but I dressed pretty hip, I think. That's me on the lower right.
