Chickens for Backyards

Hi there!! So my family and I are owners of 5 chickens and 2 ducks We made the decision to add 3 more chicks to our flock!! After looking around we ordered from Chickens for Backyards, everything was great and we got the breeds we wanted however, once placing the order we saw they would come in June!! We were a bit upset because the other places we had ordered from had come in a few weeks or even days. In addition there were no mentions on what date the chicks may come until we placed our order so we had no idea. Has anyone had any experience with them? We would really like our chicks sooner...

ive ordered from there before my chicks came in june aswell but this was in 2012 but i still have my roos line going lol you could call the hatchery and see if they can ship them sooner

Keep in mind they have to calculate how the chicks will fare in transit. If it's too cold during some portion of the trip or too hot they're going to hold off until optimum weather for the best chances of 100% survival. Any hatchery will have the same policy. And, of course, that's exactly as it should be!
