A few of my RIR chickens have gone really pale in the face and I'm not sure what to do. The other day on some of our Light Sussex chickens I found lots of little lice so I've bought some spot-on stuff to put in all our chickens. I'm not sure if the chickens are going pale in the face because of the lice or because of something else. I'm worried they are going pale be a use something is literally taking the life out of them. Please help.

Thanks

Did they go pale after you put "spot-on stuff" on them?

A severe lice/mite infestation could possibly cause them to go pale.

Treat your coop and chickens and make sure they are eating and drinking.

Depending on how old they are they could possibly be starting to molt. Have they stopped laying egg?

I haven't put the spot-on stuff on yet and they are pale.

Ok.

Most of the one going pale are my 23 week old RIR Cockerels ( and one of my 23 week old RIR pullets )

Thanks for the help and for replying!
