Chickens head badly pecked and bone exposed on head

Bummmed out my older hen that I have had to keep seperated from the younger hens was attacked today, they had gone on about the day so I let her out in the hen house, they must have doubled back and pecked her head exposing the bone. I have her in a clean dry area in our planting/greenhouse area of my husbands shop. It is dry and warm . It bled a bit which was probably a good thing although I did blot it occasionally. I have Vetrycin and know that will be god to wash the area as it begins to heal. I can't tell if it's pain or if they hurt her eyes ....I am concerned about water more than food. I saw that thing with the tube and that is way beyond anything I would do to her in her condition.I do have a small syringe for giving cats antibiotics and I think I can get some save a chick can anyone walk me through how much water/sav a chick I am guessing like 1mil at a time every so often. And hope for the best, anyone have suggestions. She's the chicken on the left in the picture from 2yrs ago totally bummed....

Those jerks! Make sure she is far far away from them as she is healing. Any oddity to her looks and they will treat her even worse! I would just make sure she's drinking, you're right! A syringe of water with vitamins ( I'm not sure on dosage ) and something that works well for my ladies that have been sick or injured is applesauce mixed in with chick starter or grower. Or even Layer mash!

thanks , yes, she will be a permanent resident in the greenhouse ...lots of clean straw on the floor, for as long as she is with us.I had her in a pen by herself because they had chased her last summer when they ran into her outside. The other hens are less than a yr old (5 of them ) so they are in the hen house loose. I had her in a large pen all to herself in there. We had 1 hen in the greenhouse recovering from them injuring her wing a few weeks back so since she is healed I put her in Clicks big pen . When we had two chickens, Click and Cluck they lived in there. It's Click they hurt tonight.She seems to be just sore so I'll do the water and vitamin thing tommorrow, hoping she drinks on her own tomorrow.

Aw, well I'm sorry fingers crossed for her! She might enjoy a little company though, my hens get so lonely they start pacing and going nuts Maybe an older girl or a brand new young one? What breed are they? good luck!

the younger ones are those sexlinks from tractor supply. Click and her sister my granddaughter hatched at school in 6th grade....the other little hen that they hurt before was terrified of click so....looks like I have some isolation issues. Not having so many I can pay attention to the two of them. They are fine together in the yard with the rooster( Click and the other one they hurt before).
So ...they will just get to take turns on the nice days. We do have an enclosed run I can keep the 5 sexlinks in so they can be outside, not so sentimentally attached to them....

just wanted to let you know she is drinking on her own, a lot I have to move my fingers in the water so she can find it but just being able to do that is a blessing. Getting snow today but tommorrow will pick up the save a chick supplement, thank you for your encouragement yesterday

If you are getting the save a chick packets from TSC you mix one of the little packets into a gallon of water. The solution lasts 24 hours, and you can give as needed.
