Chickens...heart smart? You bet!

I went to Subway today, and historically (and unlike Jared), I would order my sandwich with EXTRA mayo, extra oil, extra S & P, extra parm, etc. Today I found myself ordering extra tomatoes, cucumbers, green peppers, etc. instead NO mayo, no oil. I would be having lunch with the chickens as usual, and of course would have to share.

Every meal I cook these days has less butter, fat, salt, because I know my leftovers will most likely go to the girls. My chickens have probably added several years to my life already, both to my emotional heart AND my physical heart.

We do the same thing here. When I cook I make sure that I make a little
extra to take out the ladies. They especially love my homemade blueberry
oatmeal. Have to make sure that I cook enough to give some to the chickens.

They love table scraps and get so excited when they see me coming with their food dish.
