Chickens I Want!

I'm VERY fortunate to have the means to get what I want when I first see it. And I have the personality that won't let me rest until I have it, either! So I got the breeds I wanted already with the last one hopefully being picked up this week.

I love all my chickens and I'm so happy that someone started this thread! I am so very proud of my EE,silver laced wyandotte and cochins! But it would be fun to have:

I lost some chicks out of the batch I just got last month and he won't let me replace them since I've reached my chicken limit, so I'm having to resort to trickery!

I think there is some chicken math coming

Sad Sad Day! Yesterday both Zenyatta and Affirmed went to live with Mr. Pat. I will miss their lovely voices so much and how they both fought to sit on my lap. I look in the yard and I'm out of sorts because I cant tell they are missing I just dont know what to do.

Dont want to cry cuz by DH will think I'm crazy. Just a chicken right? But I've had them both since they were babies. The only bright side

is that Mr. Pat has plans to breed them and I will get first pick of the chicks. Any advice on what to do?

So sorry you had to say goodbye to your babies! But you'll get to have some of their babies so it'll be like having a bit of them back! Your grandchicks That's what my mom calls my chickens, her grandchicks I'd go out and spend time with your others, it's hard to be sad with happy chickens clucking about!

Are your polish very hardy? What do you get egg wise from them? I LOVE the looks of them but have read they aren't very hardy so never tried any.

I still have a lot of convincing to do around the house, but I have hope. I mean, I'm down to 2, it makes sense to fill up the coop again, right?

It is my #1 goal in life (is that sad?) to have my 5 dream chicks by next spring. 8D


· Barred Plymouth Rock (because the first one I had was the most incredible chicken in the world <3)
· Blue Laced Red Wyandotte (because omgpretty)
· Buff Brahma (because fatness)
· Blue Ameraucana (because beards)
· Mille Fleur d’Uccle Bantam (because beards)

And then my life will be complete. Sort of.
I still have this need for ALLLLL the easter eggers, a Buff Laced Polish (yes, those heads are FANTASTIC!), an Egyptian Fayoumi...and about a dozen other breeds I'd love to own.
But I live in the city, and my original limit was 4 chickens. Now I'm trying to pull off 7. EEEK.

I also would LOVE to own an EE roo someday. They're so gorgeous.
