Chicken's impacted/sour crop has burst - repair and recovery help needed!

We have since put 5 stitches in her, with some neosporin on top. She can't really hold water, but we're trying to saturate other foods (bread etc.) with water. We also are giving her some scrambled egg yolk. We'll see how she does. Thanks for the help!

I don't think bread is a good idea. There is something in it that ferments and will compound sour crop problems. Stick to soft, easy to digest foods like scrambled egg, yogurt, baby food. I think there is some kind of baby parrot food that is really good to use. Stay away from carbs and sugars and feed her very small portions throughout the day.

x2 plain apples sauce the kind without sugar added works too. Good luck!

Calendula ointment helps skin rejuvenate and heal together. It works on humans and animals.
That is, if you still need something.

Is she still doing okay?
