Hi, welcome! :frow So... how many chickens do you have? We have 18 hens and are averaging about 6 eggs a day right now. Most are about 9 months old but our days are short and cold here in SE MO. We expect production to pick up as the days lengthen. Good luck with your flock!

Welcome to the Chicken Club! :frow This is the place to be! You will learn more and laugh more than you ever thought possible! And you might possibly shed a tear or two.

Oh, and just so you know, BYC loves pictures, lots of pictures, but we love stories too.

...I'd suggest reading up on predators in your area & how to (hopefully) predator-proof your set up, too. Not to scare the b'jeezus outta you but that's incredibly important & can't be over stated. The best time to learn is at the beginning of your adventure, not after having suffered a loss.

Then, I'd suggest reading up about things to keep on hand in your chicken med kit. Lots of good info about practical things....
This is honestly the best piece of advice ever. Most all new chicken keepers know about housing and food, but they never think about keeping the chickens safe or being able to help them when sick or injured.

This post in no way is meant to scare, but prepare, you for the inevitable. Read up on all things “safe and healthy chickens!” You won’t be disappointed!

And once again, welcome to the club!
