chickens in new coop

Big coop and looks like nice happy chickens. One thing I noticed is you're using shredded paper as bedding. We tried this for a while but found that our birds just loved eating it! I'm not sure how healthy that is for them so we swapped to alfalfa straw.

we actually turned my gardening shed into their coop....my shed is 8 x 12 but the first 4 feet are for storage of garden tools(shovels rakes etc.) and their food and bedding....
the shredded paper is because we only had one bad of shavings left but wanted to move them in....the paper worked for a couple days until i was able to get the shaving tdy....i didnt notice them eating it...but they sure did love scratching all thru it...w/in an hour of being in their new coop all the corners were empty...lol
