Chickens in the Rain??

Ok, ok, ok, I feel much better. Thanks, everyone.

They did seem to stay very fluffy while they were out there. And they were really enjoying whatever it was they were finding in the soaked lawn, so I'll worry no more.
If they're happy, I'm happy!

I know it's because it's my first year with chickens, but when my are soaked to the bone and their feathers are plastered wet down all around them and it is 36 degrees outside, I bring them in and dry them off in front of the wood stove. They seem to like it, but I'm sure next year I'll be tired of doing that.

My hens love the rain but my rooster seems to think he is above all that low-brow worm hunting stuff. He sits in the hay shed, nice and dry, and watches the ladies scratch around looking like drowned swamp rats in the mud
